Grades and Early Childhood Substitute Teachers
Waldorf School of Pittsburgh is currently accepting applications for substitutes in our Grades and Early Childhood Program for the 2021–2022 school year. Our on-call teachers also receive stipends with they are not needed.
Position Overview
Grades applicants must possess a BA in Elementary Education or a related field, and experience working with children ranging in age from 6-14 years old is preferred. A PA Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Background Check and FBI Fingerprinting are required. Applicants must be available from 7:45am - 3:00pm. Compensation is $15.00/hour.
Early Childhood substitute teachers will assist the Lead Teacher in caring for children in mixed age Kindergarten, Nursery and Childcare classrooms. Substitutes' duties will include snack preparation, maintaining a clean classroom and assisting the Lead Teacher in classroom activities as needed. Applicants must possess a high school diploma and have two years of verifiable work with children or a B.A. in Education or a related field. A PA Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Background Check and FBI Fingerprinting are required. Compensation is $15.00/hour.
