PRE-K COUNTS LEAD TEACHERThe Pre-K Count Lead Teacher’s key focus is to provide high quality programming within their assigned classroom of 3-5 year olds, and must be committed to best practices according to regulations and guidelines from Heritage Community Initiatives, DHS, Keystone STARS, NAEYC and Pre-K Counts. The Pre-K Count Lead Teacher must be passionate about the early care and education field and working with children. The Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher must be able to develop and facilitate developmentally, individually, and culturally appropriate practices and intentional teaching. All lesson plans must be based on each individual child’s goals that come from the GOLD assessments and daily observations. The Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher must also be consistent and intentional with helping children learn and develop through play. *

ASSISTANT HEAD START TEACHER- The Assistant Head Start Teacher’s key focus is to assist the Head Start Lead Teacher by providing high-quality programming within their assigned classroom of 3-5 year olds while being committed to best practices according to Head Start regulations and guidelines.  The Assistant Head Start Teacher must be able to develop and facilitate developmentally, individually, and culturally appropriate practices and intentional teaching. All lesson plans must be based on each individual child’s goals that come from the GOLD assessments and daily observations. The Assistant Head Start Teacher must also be consistent and intentional with helping children learn and develop through play.  *

 


TEACHER (Part-time)- HOST Teachers are responsible for providing high-quality Out of School Time Programming for children 5-12 years old.  HOST Teachers must be committed to the overall development of the students in their classroom as well as create a rapport with all program students.  HOST Educators are expected to plan and lead students in intentional hands-on learning experiences that are fit for each student’s age and developmental level.  HOST Teachers must provide additional academic support for students as well as uphold culturally appropriate practices.  The purpose of a HOST Teacher is to expand upon each student’s education and help them grow developmentally. HOST program hours are Monday – Friday from 7:30 – 9:30 AM and 3:00 – 5:30 PM.  We desire candidates who would be interested in working either and/or both of these shifts.   Part-time teaching positions are available, as well as substitute and/or student teaching opportunities.  *

 

ASSISTANT TEACHER- Heritage Community Initiatives, located in Braddock, is seeking an experienced, compassionate, flexible, creative and reliable Assistant Teacher. This unique position will largely focus on serving as support for all classrooms at our Heritage 4 Kids Early Learning Center as well as at HOST (Heritage Out of School Time), also in our neighborhood.  This professional who will be primarily housed at 4 Kids, but will fill-in when necessary at HOST when needed, must be passionate about the early care and education field, must follow all DHS, STARS, NAEYC, and Head Start regulations, guidelines, and procedures.   Our education programs operate Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM.  This is a permanent, full-time position with complete benefits package.  *

   

BUSINESS MANAGER - The Business Manager for Education Services is responsible for the business functions of both education programs. The manager ensures parent billings, account receivables, and collections are completed weekly, accurately, and on time. The manager also maintains and updates the database for reconciling, analyzing, and tracking in parent tuition accounts, childcare subsidies, and nutrition. Collaborates with education management to ensure that resources are prioritized for effective and efficient operations in both programs. 

 

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE - The Director of Finance position is responsible for managing all aspects of Finance for the organization.  This is a hands-on position, managing the organization’s financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, production of financial statements and reports, audit, and tax returns.  Responsibilities also include monitoring and maintaining internal controls, while overseeing financial systems and related compliance requirements.  This position is part of the senior management team with supervisory responsibilities for two direct reports.
