Position Overview
The Assistant Teachers work collaboratively with the Lead Teachers and other members of the Early Childhood Faculty/Staff to maintain the integrity and quality of Waldorf Early Childhood programs. Candidates must possess a high school diploma and have two years of verifiable work with children or a B.A. in Education or a related field. Kindness, warmth, patience, energy, and a genuine dedication to Waldorf Education are assets for this position.
Assistant responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
-supporting the lead teacher in all classroom activities
-caring for spaces/cleanliness
-snack preparation
-supervising outdoor and indoor play
-adhering to Waldorf School of Pittsburgh employee guidelines

PA State Police Clearance
Child Abuse History Clearance
FBI Clearance (DHS version)
NSOR Certificate
Mandated Reporter Training
Pediatric First Aid and CPR Training preferred
