Teachers: Was Your Personal Info Stolen?

Have you received a letter in the mail from MyIDCare?  Your info may have been compromised in the PA TIMS (Teacher Information Management System) breach.    Many throughout the state are getting these letters, myself included.  Free identity protection is being offered, but you must enroll before June 14, 2018.  I am posting some information and resources below for those of you who may be affected.
"The letters, dated March 12, inform teachers and retirees that their names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and home addresses may have been publicly released due to a state employee’s “human error” that occurred on Feb. 22 to the Teacher Management Information System."
"PSEA has been in touch with PDE to confirm that the outreach from MyIDCare to PSEA members is a legitimate offer, and PDE has confirmed that it is. "
You can sign up for the free identity protection here (https://ide.myidcare.com/PATIMS), however, you must have the enrollment code provided in the letter.
"You can call at 866-294-7881 for more information, if you have more questions, or for information on the membership services being provided."
