The Learning Lamp, a nonprofit organization that partners with schools, is looking for PA certified teachers and college graduates interested in obtaining emergency certification to work as a substitute teacher for charter schools throughout Allegheny County. The rate of pay is $115 per day. As an employee of The Learning Lamp, retired teachers can also sub without jeopardizing the benefits they receive through the Public School Employees’ Retirement System.
